We're already eight months into chapter 2! Time flies fast, but at the same time, it feels like it will be ages until the full-team comeback of BTS. But still, there are some side stories from chapter 1 that haven't been talked about that much lately, and we're here to bring them back to the surface for you. If you haven't read part 1 yet, click here to check it out.
BANGTAN LOG
Long before vlogging became very popular, BTS did their own "vlog" or "video blog" even before their debut. In this short video, they often talk about what they had been doing, what they had been preparing, what we could expect from them in the upcoming months, or just checking in with us. This LOG is posted on their official YouTube Channel BANGTANTV.
As they got busier and with the new streaming platform where they can go live at any time they want, these LOGs have featured less and less. They have a playlist for these LOGs on their YouTube channel.
You might have seen some other videos with the same format like the vlogs series during the “BE” promotion or during their long holidays. But it seems like, based on how they grouped these videos on separate playlists, they are different concepts. While being in the same format, the BE logs were a replay of their YouTube lives, while their holiday logs have different themes. Based on the LOG playlist on their YouTube channel, the last LOG was from SUGA on July 21, 2021.
BANGTAN GAYO
In a glimpse, Bangtan Gayo might seem similar to “Run BTS!” which is still ongoing. Both are BTS variety shows that we can enjoy for free on Weverse, but they are actually quite different from each other.
On the first episode of “Bangtan Gayo,” RM introduced this variety show series as a way to learn more about K-Pop — or more specifically, K-Music and K-Drama.

During several games and challenges, BTS introduced us to several songs from various idol groups and soloists, famous lines from the least to most famous K-Dramas, and most importantly, promoted their own songs.
Unfortunately, this variety show stopped at the 15th episode, where we got the infamous self-made music video of "Spine Breaker." Though BTS brought this show's title and format to their “Run BTS!” episodes 89, 90, and 144.
RM MUSIC
Uploading songs on repeat isn't a recent occurrence from RM. Way before BTS even debuted, RM shared song suggestions on BTS' Twitter, titled RMusic. If you go to BTS' Twitter and searched the hashtag #RMusic, you'll find tons of song recommendations from RM. This, alongside Kim Daily, are RM content that fans can look forward to.
1MINUTE ENGLISH
This show is probably the shortest series BTS has ever done. It's called "1Minute English with Rap Monster." There are fewer than 5 episodes of this particular series, but it's still memorable nonetheless. This series is a minute live stream of RM teaching the members, mostly Jungkook and V, one English word. If you ever came across some cuts where RM was teaching Jungkook how to use the word "pardon?" or a video of V saying "I'm God" instead of "I'm good," those clips came from this live-streaming series.

GOLDEN CLOSET AND VANTE
These words are probably one of the most familiar words to the ARMYs from this blog. Golden Closet is the name of any artwork from Jung Kook. It's usually followed by the type of media that he posted. If he posts a video, it would be Golden Closet Film; if he posts a photo, it would be Golden Closet Photo. It's also the name of his studio in the company's building. There’s also a playlist dedicated to Golden Closet Film on BANGTANTV.
Vante is V's "artist" name when he creates something. Taking an interest in painting and photography, V likes to create abstract artwork using this name. Vante came from combining his name, V, with the name of his favorite minimalist photographer, Ante Badzim. The photographer even acknowledged the name "Vante."

Waiting for the day BTS comes back with a full formation might seem so far away, but hopefully, these various side stories from chapter 1 help to lessen the wait a little. BTS has given us plenty of things we can enjoy in chapter 1, we can always enjoy it again whenever we miss them.
There are more side stories from chapter 1 that we haven't mentioned, so please feel free to add yours!
