June 13, 2023, marks the 10th anniversary of the debut of BTS, the South Korean boy band that has gone on to become one of the most popular and successful musical acts in the world. In the past decade, BTS has released seven studio albums, won numerous awards, and toured the world while amassing a global fan base known as ARMY.
Although, they are now separated for a while, due to Jin and j-hope being in the military while the others are doing their solo projects. However, BTS keeps their promise to never leave ARMY behind and vice versa. ARMYs wait for FESTA every year because, for a whole month, we are spoiled with a lot of content from BTS. They even posted a timeline on their official account so that fans could keep up with all of the planned activities for this special month.
As we can see, some days were left as question marks, leaving ARMY questioning what would be released on those days. Here are the details of what we got during FESTA this year. On May 31st, Big Hit posted https://ibighit.com/bts/kor/2023festa/ where ARMY had their own room and filled it with special BTS FESTA moments. Make sure you check it out.
Did you take the opportunity to revisit these three beautiful concerts - BTS 5th Muster in Seoul in 2019, BTS 2021 Muster Sowoozoo, and BTS Map of The Soul ON:E? Don’t worry. They also revisited BangBangCon on 3rd June via Weverse where all ARMYs could watch them for free. All you had to do was relax, have some snacks, maintain a good connection, and enjoy the concerts. On June 3, they started releasing some dance practices on YouTube such as Intro Dance, Anpanman, Boy With Luv, 흥탄소년단, I NEED U, and I’m Fine. They also put out a trailer for BTS' 10th Anniversary FESTA. On 7 June, Jimin surprised us with his song, Dear ARMY with a clip on their YouTube channel, and the next day, we got more content: 10 Project from BTS.
After a while, we could finally see the BTS members all in one frame, healing us from missing them. We can see, as always, their silliness and how much love they have for their fans.
On 9 June, BTS released a digital single titled Take Two that we can enjoy on Spotify and YouTube. "Take Two" is the way BTS said thank you to ARMYs because they have always been there to support the boys from day one until now. It was only a matter of time, the song charted in several charts on the first day it was released. Have you missed the interaction between Jin and SUGA? Say no more; now we can watch them talking freely on Suchwita EP. 12 where we have Jin as a guest star for this episode and an impromptu visit from photographer j-hope.
On 11 June, BTS' official account released some questions that we can answer, and they will reveal members’ answers at the end of it. Each of the members also asked a question for us to answer. How many answers of yours match with the members? If you love to use Instagram, don’t worry; they also released two filters that ARMY could use to celebrate FESTA this year, which were 7 Tattoos and Take Two. The happiness doesn’t stop right there. They released BTS EXHIBITION '오, 늘' FILM CAMERA Photo (B side ver.) that we can enjoy seeing on Weverse. After Jimin, we got j-hope's Arson (Rock ver.) was also released on their YouTube Channel.
At the time of writing this blog, there are only a few more days left to hype FESTA this year. Don’t forget to check out how N Seoul Tower (aka Namsan Tower) filled the sky with purple on 13 June. If you were there, we’d love to know what it was like? There is so much going on to celebrate BTS’ 10th Anniversary and we still have pictures to be released on 14 June, a new song on 15 June, and last but not least, something big is going to happen on 17 June.
Although BTS is not a full team for now, ARMY will always be there to support them and wait for their comeback in 2025. We believe that BTS will always love us too, no matter what. Enjoy your FESTA this year and let’s meet again at next year's FESTA - when Jin says he will be back!
