People around the world are connected as an expansive collective known as ARMY, not only because we love BTS’ songs, but also due to having found a place of happiness in this fandom and in BTS. ARMYs have a “Magic Shop” to escape from the real world that is sometimes scary, exhausting, and full of uncertainty. As a part of this fandom, you will find a place that provides almost anything you might need: a safe space to relax a little bit, to learn about the Korean language, to interact with people both online and in-person, to learn how to take care of ourselves – especially during this pandemic era – and much more.

In this Spring series blog, we will discuss two accounts that help ARMYs struggling with mental health, that serve as a listening ear to those who need someone to talk to, and are a resource for those with questions for the medical field.

BTS ARMY Help Center

Some ARMYs may be familiar with the BTS ARMY Help Center account, the reasons being that it has the same name in several countries for the same purpose, or because one might have sent them a private message before.

BTS ARMY Help Center’s main purpose is to make ARMYs around the world realize that we are all important, and we are all special, as stated in their bio. The account has several sub accounts for various countries. So, if you are an ARMY, but you cannot speak English and need someone to listen to your story discreetly, you can find help through their sub accounts like @BTS_AHC_SPN for Spanish ARMY, @BTS_AHC_FR for French ARMY, @BTS_AHC_KR for Korean ARMY, @BTS_AHC_IDN for Indonesian ARMY, and some others that you can find through @BTS_AHC’s following list. They also post daily encouraging quotes that could help you get through your day or start a brand new day with a positive mindset.

The reason behind why this beautiful community exists was because a French ARMY wanted to create a safe space for ARMYs to share their story without feeling worried someone would intimidate them or judge their struggles, and also to give everyone support whenever they needed it. People behind the accounts are actually students who study psychology, or are psychologists themselves. So whenever you feel down, do not ever hesitate to reach out to one of the accounts, because we all matter, and we all deserve a place in this world.

BTS ARMY Medical Union

If you are ARMY and currently studying in the medical field, you can look up @armymedunion. The account mainly focuses on medicine and allied health. People behind this account are ARMY licensed medical professionals, pre-med, and med students that share the same passion for medicine.

In this account you will get two things at the same time: learn medical advice and information and fangirl over BTS. They will post everything you need to know in this field with the BTS theme on it, so you do not have any reason to skip their posts. You can check out more on their cards https://bamudirectory.carrd.co/ .

Click on their account, you will find many things that you can learn. For example, they posted about the symptoms and treatment of post-concert depression. When you feel sad, you can talk to people that you love and trust, or you can binge watch BTS contents such as RUN BTS for laughs or healing content like In The Soop. There is always something you can do. Take good care of yourself!

Here is a fun fact about sleeping, some of us might skip bedtime so we can watch a whole series of a Korean drama or watch a whole season of Bon Voyage or In The Soop or their behind the scene contents – there’s a lot of content to distract us as ARMYs. But little do we know, for younger ARMYs when we skip sleep, we might not grow. BAMU shared this fact with a picture of our angel Jin sleeping. This is the kind of content you can expect to find on their pages.

Let’s admit that we all enjoy when Jung Kook – or any other members – show us their abs during performances, but did you know that the abs they show us actually have a specific name? It is called rectus abdominis. This is made up of 8 distinct muscle bellies in our body. Don’t you want to exercise to get abs like them? Good luck reaching that goal!

The Comeback is right in front of us, we are all starting to countdown the days, buy the albums, and get ready to join the streaming party all over the many platforms. But first thing first, you have to take care of yourself to make sure that you will enjoy this comeback. Here are some tips from BAMU for ARMY.

If you need some tips to take care of yourself during a rough time, you can also check our previous blog, Music Therapy: A Guide for Self-Care, you will find some tips about how to take care of yourself. At the end of the day, you have to believe in Namjoon’s lyrics in “Do You,”
