BTS can now be counted as one of the big stars who have other infamous names clamoring for the chance to collaborate. Every time they do collaborations, ARMYs always hype it up, loving both BTS and the collaborated artists equally. There are some artists who have shared their thoughts about the boys after they worked together, for example, Halsey and Chris Martin from Coldplay.
Halsey is already known to be a part of ARMY. She is also known to be their close friend and even shares matching friendship bracelets that Halsey gave to them during the practice for their performance at the BBMAs in 2019. One of the members also posted this on their Twitter, and it is also shown in a Bangtan Bomb on the BANGTANTV YouTube channel.

In one of the interviews, when the boys asked what Halsey wanted from them after she gave them the bracelets, she answered that she wishes they would always be understanding, patient, calm, and cool whenever they work together.
Halsey said during iHeartRadio LIVE! that BTS is a group that are working hard, but sometimes they work too hard. She also mentioned before performing at the BBMAs that the boys did a rehearsal at night, right when they were jet-lagged, but they wanted to make sure Halsey was comfortable to perform the next day.
In another interview with Zach Sang Show, Halsey said that ARMYs are awesome and unfairly represented in the media. She also said that ARMYs are intelligent, funny, tasteful, and charitable. She even mentioned how protective ARMYs are towards BTS because the boys have been taken advantage of in many ways before.
Steve Aoki made a video to say thanks to BTS and ARMY after their song, “MIC Drop (Steve Aoki Remix),” reached 1 billion views on YouTube. This makes Steve Aoki the first Japanese-American DJ to achieve this accomplishment.
Steve Aoki said that working with BTS has been an extraordinary experience because they are amazing and beautiful human beings. He said that it is really cool to see BTS' journey as a group, from being a band that not many people knew before to being one of the biggest bands in music’s history.
He added that BTS built an incredible bridge for music in Asia, a long lifetime of music. They also continue to break the boundaries and borders. He has stated that he is excited to see where the boys are going to go in the future.
Coldplay is known as a band that does not easily approve of people covering their song on TV, but they showed their support towards BTS on Twitter when the boys covered "Fix You" on MTV Unplugged. Chris Martin recently had an interview with BTS on BTS’ YouTube channel, BANGTANTV. They spoke about many things, including BTS' newest single, “Permission to Dance,” and their global impact on music.
At the beginning of the interview, Chris said that he has a lot of love and respect for BTS because they have been giving a lot of joy to many people during the pandemic since it is a time where everything seems so difficult.
Then, they spoke about the concept of “Permission to Dance,” which is to make people feel as though they can dance without asking for permission, and that it does not matter if they are good at dancing or not. What matters the most is that they enjoy the dance and the music. Chris agreed to the concept because he feels like he is not a good dancer. He added that the reason he encourages the Permission to Dance challenge is because it symbolizes that everyone should be free to be themselves. It is also amazing, in his opinion, to have the unity of the band with the audience.
Chris was amazed when he watched a video of two ARMYs doing the Permission to Dance challenge since one of them was deaf and the other was blind. For him, it was very emotional, because despite what they cannot do they still felt the energy of the band. They still felt connected.
Chris said that it is actually really important for BTS to be chosen as the Presidential Special Envoys, because their voice as a band is very positive and acceptable for everyone, especially ARMYs, all around the world.
Chris stated that somehow the bigger you get, the more you realize that you are just one little human and that you are really just part of a bigger story. You are one small part of a big communication and it is a privilege.
Ed Sheeran also mentioned that BTS are such great human beings, and did a promotion for Permission to Dance due to his being one of the songwriters. Lauv, another musician and friend of BTS, also mentioned his thoughts about the band in a Forbes interview. Lauv said that working together with BTS is such an honor. He was super excited after the boys asked him if he wanted to collaborate for their song, “Make It Right,” and Lauv also picked a song they could feature in. That is how he got the boys involved in his song, “Who.”
After the racist rant comment from a German Radio Host back then, Halsey, MAX, and also Lauv showed support for the boys. MAX tweeted that BTS is one of the hardest working and most humble groups in the industry and that they deserve all the success they have earned.
MAX has collaborated with SUGA on the rapper’s mixtape before, as well as having had SUGA feature on MAX’s album not long after that. Lauv also tweeted about the racism on his personal Twitter. He said that he is standing by the band and everyone that is continuously affected by racist remarks. On the other hand, Halsey posted about the issue on her personal Instagram story, writing about the hate speech on the radio, emphasizing it's being such an irresponsible and disgusting statement. She also issued an apology for BTS and Asian communities, due to her belief that things like that are unacceptable.
No matter which artists collaborate with the boys, we always can see when they love the boys as much as we do. And those artists can see the boys always trying to show their best sides to ARMY. Whether they are on or off-screen, there isn’t anything that changes about the band. Of course, there have been those who collaborated with BTS for the clout, alone, but those stand out as the negative few. And BTS continues to shine, both by themselves and alongside other stars.
