ARMY, have you smiled today? Do not forget to smile, especially this week, because we are celebrating National Smile Week. Do you know that a smile on your face could give you so many benefits? When you smile, you release endorphins which help you to feel happier and give you positive thoughts. No wonder we always see our happy pill, J-Hope, smile almost all the time, and we can feel that he gives us a positive vibe. Smiling and laughing are also a stress reliever because both of them help lower your blood pressure. The other benefit of smiling is that you will have a younger appearance and keep you forever young!
BTS gives us so many things to help our day get better and make us smile, from the song with the music video that comes every comeback to “Run BTS!” episodes that we can enjoy every Tuesday. During the pandemic, they purposefully released three all-English songs that are intended specifically to cheer us up while we’re struggling, “Dynamite,” “Butter,” and “Permission to Dance.” However, there are other songs that you can add to your playlist to accompany your day.
One song was performed while Jungkook flew into the stadium; can you guess what song it is? Yup, it is “Euphoria,” from the Love Yourself: Answer album. This song can make you smile instantly and get you to sing along with Jungkook as well. When you watch its music video, you can also see the members enjoying themselves, and we are blessed with Jungkook’s golden vocals in the background.
The other song that can put a smile on your face instantly is “GoGo” from the Love Yourself: Her album. Besides the song's fresh and cheerful melody, they wear cute and lovely outfits in several performances. One of the most iconic adorable outfits that we can see is during their dance practice for Halloween, where Taehyung wore the Snow White costume while the rest of the members wore dwarf outfits.
“Spread spread spread my wings” — when you listen to that lyric, you will likely remember how the boys jumped and hyped the song whenever they sang it during the “Outro: Wings” concert. This upbeat and energetic song could make you smile and make your day better.
The last one that we will talk about is “Outro: Ego.” This song from Map Of The Soul: 7 describes Hoseok very well, from the lyrics to the music video, to his performance during the online concert MOTS ON: E as well. He really could light up your bad day through his voice in this song.
Besides the songs, another source of happiness for ARMYs is “Run BTS!” There are some episodes of “Run BTS!” that you can watch to brighten up your day. We will say yes to “Run BTS!”
Episode 24 is one of the funniest episodes, where all the members are divided into groups to win the game in a zombie invasion. In this episode, we can see J-Hope being dragged off the bus to help lift the barrier in front of the bus, but sadly he lost his shoe while running away and screaming for his life because he was scared.
Some of you might know, but some of you are probably wondering where the “lajibolala” line comes from. It is from “Run BTS!” episodes 39 and 41, where the members have to guess the word “carbonara” while they have loud music on their headphones. Jimin said “lajibolala” instead of “carbonara,” but it surprised everyone when Jin could guess the word correctly at the end of the line.
If you are wondering what the BTS members would look like during their school years, you can watch episodes 63 – 65. In these episodes, each of the members is given two unknown “forbidden” words assigned by the other members. Whenever they say the words, they will get sprayed with water, and the results are hilarious. The member that was almost drenched because of it is J-Hope because one of his forbidden words from the members was “hahaha,” and as we all know J-Hope loves to laugh a lot, so he was always getting sprayed.
BTS at the waterpark playing games is such a nice combo. Episodes 83 – 85 are the best for you if you need a reason to smile. You will see V keep slipping on the giant slide, Jungkook vs his hyungs, and other funny moments in there. It is highly recommended for you to end your day with something funny, yet beautiful to see.
Originally, “National Smile Day” was part of a campaign to encourage healthy dental care, but now that it has grown to also celebrate the importance of smiling. Here are some tips for ARMYs to take care of your smile. Do not forget to brush your teeth twice a day to help keep your teeth clean. Eat the right food for your teeth. Last but not least, go to your dentist twice a year for a checkup to make sure your teeth are taken care of very well.
Do not forget to smile, ARMY, and do not let anyone steal that precious smile from your face. Happy National Smile Week!
