Do you need something to watch during your free time that doesn’t require a lot of thinking? Or something to take your mind off things for a while so you can relax? Or maybe you want to see how the famous BTS are behind the camera? Or perhaps all of the above? Settle down and get yourself comfortable because we have just the thing for you. We call it the “BTS Comfort Package.”
What is in this package? Let’s check it out together!
1 - SEASON’S GREETINGS
There’s nothing more exciting than greeting the new year together with BTS. “Season’s Greetings” is an annual package that contains a calendar, planners for the year, photo cards, and a behind-the-scenes of making the DVD. The first was released in December 2014, dubbed “BTS 2015 Season’s Greetings.”
Besides providing ARMY with planners and calendars, BTS also wrote down their wishes and hopes for the next year while reflecting on the wishes and hopes from the previous one. Secrets are bound to get revealed and the strength of their bonds often becomes even more apparent.
2 - SUMMER PACKAGE
While “Season’s Greetings” welcomes the new year, “Summer Package” welcomes the Summer season. Visiting different countries every year, BTS engage in refreshing games and fun photoshoots, along with spending time with each other and participating in various activities. Previous activities include sandboarding, playing with animals, getting drenched in a pool or beach, being dragged by a banana boat, and even paragliding.
If you need something to give you a boost to move around under the scorching summer sun, we highly recommend this one.
3 - WINTER PACKAGE
Starting from 2020, BTS has changed their “Summer Package” into a “Winter Package.” With the same purpose of greeting the season, BTS play in the comfort of winter cold, huddle up together in thick clothes, play games, and enjoy hot chocolate while reading heartfelt letters to each other.
Periods of frigid cold weather are often the perfect times to fend away loneliness in the cozy companionship of loved ones. Thus, “Winter Package” is one of the best contents to give you a warm blanket, lively company, and strength to make it through the winter.
4 - BON VOYAGE
Visiting North Europe, Hawaii, Malta, and New Zealand, BTS experienced lives as normal guys traveling with their best friends. With four seasons, each containing eight regular and eight behind-the-scenes episodes, we witnessed how BTS spend their time with each other while exploring the hidden beauties of the cities they visited. They often got missions from the staff to strengthen their bonds and to make sure they could enjoy each city to the fullest extent.
Besides, we get to see them driving, so why not?
5 - IN THE SOOP
The most recent addition to this comfort package is the famous “In the SOOP” that first aired in the second half of 2020. Having a similar concept with “Bon Voyage”, the fans assumed this could be the pandemic version of “Bon Voyage." There were speculations that this new series was the result of not being able to travel outside the country.
The greatest differences though lay in the list of their daily activities. While “Bon Voyage” is more structured and well-planned by the staff, “In The SOOP” gave the BTS members time and the chance to relax. As the producer said:
“[this is an opportunity to do] things you didn’t do because you didn’t want to take the time off, things you couldn’t do because you’ve been too busy. Trying those things is what we’re doing on this show.”
Surprisingly (or not), BTS had a hard time relaxing as their usual schedule is always packed to the brim. The need to always move around and do something productive resulted in BTS feeling a little overwhelmed by the concept of a lot of free time with no obligations. But thankfully, they allowed themselves to relax and do whatever they want.
From far away into some forest in Chuncheon, Gangwon-do, and surrounded by hills and the Bukhan River, BTS soaked in nature while having the time to cool off from their flashy life and tighten the undying bond between each other.
All of the content packages mentioned above have several common themes. First, they include BTS taking a trip to different countries and cities. Second, each content contains individual interviews. Third, every member had a say in the plan; thus the trips didn’t feel like a job but more like a vacation, especially for “In the SOOP.” Last but not least, all the content packages above are available on the BTS Weverse Shop that you can download on your mobile phone.
What do you think of this comfort package? Is there any more BTS content that brings you comfort during hard times? Feel free to let us know in the comments or on our social media!
